Roger Penske announced this past week that Joey Logano, current driver of the 20 for Joe Gibbs, is a possible canidate to take the seat in the 22 Shell Pennzoil Dodge for Penske in 2013. Sam Hornish Jr. has been behind the wheel of the 22 since AJ Allmendinger failed his drug test before the Cup race at Daytona in July. My question for you guys is who will be in the 22 car next year, Logano, Hornish, or Someone else?
Matt Kenseth as everyone knows has announced he will no longer be returning to Roush Fenway Racing in 2013, after spending his whole Sprint Cup career with Jack Roush, winning the 2003 Sprint Cup, then Winston Cup, championship and the 2009 and 2012 Daytona 500. Rumors have been going around that Kenseth will likely move to a Toyota team, the two that have come up the most would be Michael Waltrip Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing. Many believe that Gibbs will either open up a fourth Cup Series ride or Joey Logano will be removed from the 20 to give Kenseth a ride. The 20 car currently does not have a Sprint Cup Series sponsor for next season which would be one of the reasons Logano has to leave. Kenseth is yet to make an official announcement on where he will race in 2013, be ready for a curveball if Joe Gibbs Racing gets a deal done to keep Logano in the 20!
